The reader: a table of contents on the left, the text of a research paper with the paragraph being read highlighted in the middle, and the original PDF page on the right with the same paragraph framed.
The sample paper, “Attention Is All You Need” (the 2017 paper that introduced the Transformer, the T in ChatGPT), read beside its original page.

Made for reading with your ears

It handles the hard parts of a PDF: math, code, tables, graphs, illustrations and the rest of the page furniture.

A natural voice

A calm narrator reads your document from start to finish. Four voices, and any speed from 0.75× to 2×.

Follow every word

Each word lights up as it's spoken. Click any word to start reading from exactly there.

Math that makes sense

Equations are read by meaning, like "x squared plus y", not as a jumble of symbols.

Figures explained

Charts, tables, diagrams, code and equations can each get a short spoken summary: turn on Summaries in Settings.

Built for real papers

Two-column layouts, headers, footnotes, references and journal clutter are handled, so you hear the paper, not the page furniture.

Easy to find your way

A clean table of contents, the original page beside the text, and pages that turn by themselves.
