These terms apply when you use Read PDF Out Loud (readpdfoutloud.com). By using it, you agree to them.

The service

Read PDF Out Loud reads PDFs aloud and shows their text beside the original pages. It's free, with a monthly allowance of pages you can add. We may change, limit or end features, and we'll try to give notice of big changes.

Your account

You need an account to read your own PDFs. Keep access to your email or Google account secure; you're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your documents

You keep all rights to the PDFs you add. You let us store and process them (read their pages, write summaries, and turn their text into speech) only to provide the service to you. Add only PDFs you have the right to use this way.

Fair use

Don't use the service for anything illegal, add content you don't have the rights to, try to get around the allowance or other limits, overload or disrupt the service, or resell it.

Narration and summaries

The text, narration and summaries are made automatically and can contain mistakes. Check the original document before relying on them, especially for anything medical, legal or financial.

No warranty

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losing documents or data, arising from your use of the service.

Ending

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
